In a world still plagued by hunger, by disease, by inequality and by war and injustice, there is great need for us all to get involved in fighting injustice, eliminating poverty and empowering and enabling people to be agents of their own destinies.  The IMRS or Irish Missionary Resource Service does just that in several countries.  But are people tired of giving to such organisations when the problems just don’t seem to be going away?  Miriam Gormally put this question to Rita McCullagh who is just back from looking at the work being done by the IMRS in Peru.
