Anne-Maree Quinn is running as an Independent candidate in next year’s Local Elections to Dublin City Council.

Ms. Quinn is an Occupational Therapist working in the Pearse St and Ringsend/Irishtown Primary Care Centres and lives in nearby Sandymount village.

She is originally from Australia but has been living and working in Ireland for over 7 years. Anne-Maree is very proud of her Irish heritage and has been involved in a number of community initiatives such as volunteering for the Dublin tall ships festival and Open House Dublin. Anne-Maree has supported a number of charity events including Aware, Breast Cancer and volunteer with an International charity called Kenyan Orphans which supports children living with HIV.

Given her occupation, she is a board member for the National Occupational Therapy Registration Board and also a representative for the disability sub group for the Grafton Street redevelopment project plus she gives of her time to Tabor Children’s Trust, a new charity that aims to work for the benefit of children living with Autism.

She says she is so taken by her own “coming home experience” that she “couldn’t stand by and allow the people she works with in the community to suffer without a qualified voice who could speak up for them in the midst of so much austerity and hardship especially among the most vulnerable – the elderly” with whom she works.

Out “…to represent people at that level.”
