Social Justice Ireland produced a critique of Budget 2017. They say that it favours the better off and increases inequality within society while doing nothing to solve problems around the housing and accommodation crisis.

They do however welcome moves toward increasing social welfare payments, but say that it is still not in line with inflation. Their analysis gives an in depth look at several areas within the budget and suggest potential improvements that could have been made and can be found on their website www.socialjustice.ie
