We are all familiar with Mercy schools and hospitals, but how much do we know about the woman behind all of these, Catherine McAuley. She was the foundress of the Sisters of Mercy and this year there is a petition for her canonisation. In honour of her memory, and to bring her work to life, the Sisters have put together a CD of her letters. Miriam began by asking Ailish O’Brien RSM about Catherine McAuley.
