“The restoration of unity among all Christians is one of the principal concerns of the Second Vatican Council” so begins that Council’s Decree on Ecumenism which was published in 1964. This year we are again heading into what is now called Christian Unity Week or Church Unity Octave – always January 18th – 25th. The Rev. Patrick Comerford who is a priest of the Church of Ireland working for the Church Mission Society Ireland, reminded Eileen Good what the week is all about.
