Egide Dhara speaks to Eileen Good about celebrating Christmas in the Congo. He explains that Christmas mass there is very different to mass in Ireland and it includes lots of singing and dancing and could last up to 3 hours. He describes another large celebration on December 31st where people come together and pray for an hour or more and thank God for the year that has just past and ask for his guidance in the New Year. New Year celebrations can continue throughout the month of January in the Congo. But first Egide describes Christmas mass.
