Christmas is a time when we bring trees, logs and branches into our home, as part of the celebrations. Miriam Gormally met John McLoughlin, director of the Tree Council of Ireland and asked him about the significance of trees in our homes at Christmas. She first asked him if there was any religious significance in the choice of trees, such as the holly thorns representing the crown of thorns.
