Disability “Face On”

“Face On” is a book about disability arts in Ireland and beyond.  It features a collection of writings and an eclectic mix of readings, poetry, performance and film, exploring disability and deaf arts and culture in an Irish context.  The pieces give honest and often humorous accounts of artists’ personal experiences of disability in terms of both their lives as artists and their identities.  Miriam Gormally met Padraig Naughton, Director of Disability Arts Ireland and asked him why they published the book and what they hoped to achieve for Disability Arts in Ireland.
