Anam Cara is an organisation that supports bereaved parents and will hold its next monthly parent evening on Monday 8th of October at 7:20pm in the Maldron Hotel, Tallaght, Dublin 24.

Sharon Vard, one of the founders of Anam Cara lost her own daughter Rachel to an inoperable brain tumour. She talks about how meeting other parents gave her the the strength and courage to carry on as well as the idea to set up a support group for parents.  She talks about how parents honour their memories of their children by helping others.
