Comedian Breda Larkin created a one-woman show, inspired by the moving statues in Ballinspittle. Called “Breda’s Way” the show started in Ballinspittle and then became an epic journey around Ireland, visiting town and grottos along the way. Bringing a statue of Mary with her for company and inspiration, she interacted with people from all walks of life to understand how they lived in community and what inspired them. Miriam Gormally spoke with Breda Larkin about this trip and about her desire for a questioning faith that explores more deeply the role of women in the Church including her namesake Bridget.

I liked this straightforward interview on the search Breda is experiencing. Her reflections show me that the real endures beyond appearances. Many thanks!
