This year marks the 150th anniversary of Bernadette’s apparition in Lourdes, making it a place of special pilgrimage. Damien Fitzsimons has recently returned from a trip there as a volunteer, making it his tenth visit to Lourdes. On his return, he met Miriam Gormally who asked him whether his friends were surprised at his dedication to these trips.
