The camino

In this time of year went people are thinking about getting away from it all for one reason or another, we remember this moving story with Daniel Lynch, who took on a journey that transformed his life.

At 22, he experienced the loss of his partner in a freak accident at a wedding in a hotel. Unable to get his life together he was eventually “pressured” to go and walk the Camino by his friend and priest, Fr. Tony O’Riordan SJ. It was a life changing experience, and gave him a whole new insight into life and helped him to deal with the death of his partner Mark. This year he is now going back to lead the next group on the Camino walk. He explains more to Pat Coyle.

I am so touched by this simple and deep story. The sensitive way questions were posed made it a safe place for Daniel to speak from the heart. It certainly makes the Camino a very attractive option for anyone at a crossroads in life.
