Palm Sunday commemorates Jesus’ entry into Jerusalem, with the feast being celebrated each year on the Sunday before Easter. Fr. Wilfred Harrington, lecturer in Theology and Philosophy, takes a look at this triumphant event and how Jesus had made it a deliberately low key event even though he was arriving in Jerusalem as a prophet. He talks about how Jesus turned over the tables and symbolically brought the whole service of the temple to and end and thus became a threat to the religious authorities who then wished to get rid of him.
