Pope Francis and me

In this four part series we look at people who work with Jesuit organisations to understand the difference and impact that Pope Francis will make to their work and lives. In this first one, Pat Coyle talks with Guy Consolmagno, a Jesuit brother and Vatican Astrologer. Science is often seen as running counter to religion, but Guy argues that this is not so and that everything he discovers makes him marvel even more at the complexity and beauty of the Universe. But first he begins by explaining to Pat that he is terrified of having a Jesuit elected as Pope.

One response to “Pope Francis and me”

  1. Suzanne Ryder says:

I found this interview fascinating and was delighted with the questions that led to the further development of some of God’s attributes. To realise that the Vatican has astrologers in its employ is a new piece of information for me. Then, to find that Guy reflects deeply on the revelations he receives from science gives me great hope. Hearing this on Good Friday gives me a sense of meaning that I hadn’t got before. Many thanks.
