This year marks the 50th anniversary of Radharc Films, a production company which made a wide range of documentaries for RTE on social, political and religious issues. Their legacy has over 400 documentaries spanning 30 years’ work in 75 countries. Miriam Gormally spoke with Fr. Dermod McCarthy, who worked with Radharc and later went on to work as RTE’s religious affairs correspondent. Miriam began by asking him about the purpose of Radharc.
