Over 10,000 people took to the streets last week to Raise the Roof and get the government to do something about the housing and homelessness crisis. Margaret Burns from The Jesuit Centre for Faith and Justice was at the march and said that the government really needed to listen to the people and start to take their needs seriously. She said that they especially needed to examine their policy on housing and make some dramatic changes, moving away from private rental accommodation to a return to social housing.
