In this week’s edition of Soul Waves we look intensively at Climate Change – here we look back at an interview done by Cara Augestenborg looking at how Ireland dropped 28 places to be ranked 49 out of 59 – meaning Ireland is set to to be one of the few EU countries to miss its 2020 emission reduction targets.
The recent Citizen’s Assembly on how Ireland can be a Climate Change Leader showed unequivocal support for making transformative changes, but the public desire does not seem to be matching up with political Action. Miriam Gormally met Cara Augustenborg, who is on the board of Friend of the Earth Ireland to ask her what can be done. She began by asking her about the connection between Climate Change and Community.
