Struggling to come to terms with his brother’s suicide, Jesuit priest Brendan McManus decides to walk the Camino de Santiago, where he undergoes a transformative journey of rebirth and renewal that moves through grief and anger to hope and acceptance. He seeks understanding in the spirituality of St Ignatius of Loyola, founder of the Jesuits, but in the end it a simple ritual  that allows for a release of his grief. 
The proceeds of the book as well as funds he raised will all be going to suicide prevention charity Console, making him their biggest single fundraiser. are Here in this piece from the archives, he talks with Pat Coyle the journey and his advice for others also struggling to heal.
