On May 22nd, Ireland was the first country to pass same sex marriage by popular vote. There was much heated debate leading up to the referendum and while there was much celebration in Dublin Castle, there still remain some concerns on the No side of the debate.

Miriam Gormally met with Phil Dunne joint co-ordinator of We are Chuch and Breda O’Brien from the Iona Institute. We are Church campaigned for a Yes vote while the Iona Institute spoke out for a No vote. In these two interviews we get the views and reactions of the vote and how the two sides can reassure each other and coexist in the same Church.

Here Miriam is speaking with Phil Dunne about how she feels about the vote.
