Declan White, from Sightsavers, a charity dedicated to preventing blindness, says that a remarkable 75% of blindness could be treated. He also points to the global inequality that there 39 million blind people in the world, but 90% of them are living in developing countries. He explains the many causes of blindness to Miriam Gormally and talks about what can be done to prevent this disability as well as enabling people and communities to be able to prevent blindness themselves.
