Both the UN World Refugee Day and the Day of Support for Victims of Torture comes in June    issues that we in Ireland have become more aware of in recent years. One of the organisations involved with refugees is SPIRASI – a humanitarian organisation founded in 1999 with the Holy Ghost Fathers as trustees. In SPIRASI, Refugees, Asylum Seekers and Survivors of Torture are welcomed and helped integrate into society here. Miriam Gormally went to their headquarters on Dublin’s North Circular Rd. and met Monica Chambers Hall who told her how she works with some of the people who go there needing help.
