The Body and Blood of Christ

The practice of the Eucharist or Holy Communion is in accordance with Jesus’ instruction at the Last Supper, that his followers take bread as his body and wine as his blood in remembrance of him. Fr. Frank Mullan talks about how this is at the very centre of our Christian beliefs and when we practice mass we look back at the last supper and Jesus on the cross. He talks about the remarkable gift God has given us; the gift of himself and how by remembering this we are making it present. He also talks about interpreting the language used around the feast day of the last supper.
