The recent case of the murder of Ana Kriegel, shocked the country. One of the boys who was convicted of the crime was also found to have had thousands of images of pornography on his phone, some of which were violent. It raised questions around how much porn young people are seeing and whether it’s effecting their understanding of sexuality.

Pat Coyle spoke with Richard Leonard SJ, who specialises in the impact media has on young people, in particular negative or violent media and says that children are accessing porn at a younger and younger age. He spoke of how porn is a major addiction and how it runs counter to the dignity and gift of human sexuality.
