The Citizen’s Assembly headed by Ms Justice Mary Laffoy has been going through submissions, hearing from experts and listening to stories looking at all different aspects and arguments around abortion. Their conclusions will form the basis of a number of reports and recommendations that will be submitted to the Houses of the Oireachtas for further debate by our elected representatives. Breda O’Brien, teacher, journalist and member of the Iona Institute spent a Sunday there answering questions alongside Marie Steen who was the Iona Institutes main representative. Miriam began by asking Breda what her impression of the assembly was.
