Parents “are the first teachers in the way of the Faith,” said Archbishop Eamon Martin at a conference in Dublin on November 26th. The conference entitled “Where now for Faith Based Education – charting the future together,” brought together a diverse range of speakers to look at the role of Faith Based Education  in Ireland. Archbishop Martin spoke about how ordinary everyday moments can offer parents a chance to discuss morality and Faith with their children as well as address some of the concerns children have. He started by telling Miriam Gormally about doing a baptismal ceremony recently and describing the most beautiful moment in the ceremony.
