The Women of Easter: When we think of Good Friday we might wonder what happened since he entered Jerusalem on Palm Sunday, or the crowd calling out ‘crucify him’ or we might turn our attention to Pilot, to the soldiers or to Simon who helped Jesus carry his cross. Dr Noirín Ní Riain talked with Marie Stuart about the women who stood at the foot of the cross, their faithfulness, their sorrow and their faith.
In: (Marie) ‘When you think of ……………..
Out: (Noirín) ……………… so she is our mediator our conduit really to Christ’
Time: 6.59
Many thanks for this lovely, delicate reflection on these Easter women. I really liked where Nóirín opens the story to include Mary’s mother and to seeing the feminine.
