The Young as New Prophets

Speaking at this year’s SMA Summer School in Newry, Fr McVerry said that young people who are leaving the Church need to be listened to.
“Those young people who are walking away from the Church, disinterested, are the prophets of today, telling the Church that there is something fundamentally wrong with the message which our Church preaches,” he said.
The Jesuit priest noted, however, that “as always with the prophets”, the Church “attacks the messenger, blames them for straying from the Church and asking for prayers that that they will see sense and return some day”.
Miriam Gormally asked him to explain more about what he meant.
The voice of prophecy from Peter! Not surprising that he makes such sense. May we listen before it is too late.
Agree. I don’t see mixed messages at all. I think Peter’s point on the importance of having a place to live and how it can help preserve family life is a very important one that should be raised in any discussion on the family or indeed the values of the Church.
There seems mixed messages from leadership of the Church.
God’s Word is the same and commandments on all controversial issues in both the old and new Testament.
I Focus on the Holy Trinity AS the way and the light guided by the helper Holy Spirit. The Holy Bible is the Word of God that enlighten us Gospels, and Psalms lift us up no matter what trials we encounter.
I believe in fellowship with Sovereign Jesus Christ, trusting Him as He had promised all things when we ask in His Name.
God created the Universe, He created Adam and Eve for their union of Marriage by blessing them and said “Be fruitful and fill the earth”
God said to Moses “man must not lie in sexual lust with man it is unnatural and corrupt and abomination it is recorded by Paul and Mathew’s testament same, and penedy”
NOT ONE CHURCH QUOTED WORD OF GOD ON CONTROVERSAL ISSUES COMING UP TO ROI REFERENDUM ON SUCH CONTROVESAL ISSUES
Marriage is not about equality or human right, its a choice for the union of man and woman. Same sex couples does not qualify.
JESUS FORGIVES SIN REPENTED AND SAID TO ON TO THEM “YOUR FORGIVEN GO IN PEACE AND DO NOT SIN”
There is a lot of crap by Fr Peter Mc Verry Jesuit priest who endorses same sex marriage and campaigner also for further diluting of Word of God and calls this compassion
Jesus said “you will know them by their fruits”
What was done by this priest is exploitation of the young people calling them new prophets, using them to further his homeless work funds and his accommodation for homeless people is appalling when he has made millions as Director, while not proclaiming Word of God in Holy Bible
