Linda Chambers hates walking in her bare feet. But during Holy Week she will be spending all her time, indoors and out, hail, rain or shine in her bare feet. It’s her way of remembering and drawing attention to the 75% of people in Swaziland who live far below the poverty line and cannot afford shoes. Linda is Director of the United Society. Founded as the Society for the Propagation of the Gospel, the organisation is 300 years old and works in 50 countries through its Head Office in London. The Ireland Section has a particular relationship with the Anglican Diocese of Swaziland lending aid to that country’s poor and particularly those affected by HIV. Linda spoke to Paul Loughlin
