Early this month Pope Benedict XVI reasserted the Roman Catholic Church as the one true church saying that it had “the fullness of the means of salvation.” It was a statement that aimed to clarify the differences between the Roman Catholic Church and other Christian faiths. However many other Christian Churches were angered by the statement saying it degraded their faith to what one commentator called “Yellow-pack Christians.” Miriam Gormally asked Fergus O’Donoghue, editor of the Jesuit journal Studies whether non Catholics had a legitimate reason to be annoyed by the Pope’s statement.
