20 million face starvation in East Africa. David O’Hare from Trocaire, who has recently returned from Kenya, says the crisis is amongst the worst he has seen in his career. The compounding effects of climate change are making it harder and harder for people to ensure food security. Despite the potential devastation to people’s lives, there is little or no media interest in the situation. David explains more to Miriam Gormally about what is happening and what we can do to help.
