‘Children and The Media: A Challenge for Education’ is the theme chosen by Pope Benedict XV1 for the 41st. World Communications Day on May 20th. In his letter he says   ”…… educating children to be discriminating in their use of the media is the responsibility of Parents, Church and School – the role of Parents is of primary importance.”  Pat Coyle is Manager of the Jesuit Communications Centre in Dublin, a former BBC and RTE producer and mother of two teenagers.  She told Miriam Gormally what her concerns are about the media and young people today.
