The song, “A candle for You”, sung by Patricia Bourke D’Souza and composed by Marie Dunne CHF was released to raise awareness for missing persons. However during this time or turmoil, the idea of lighting a candle for someone has taken on a greater significance. Marie says that the idea of the candle was inspired by the word of Alice Cairns, mother of Philip who disappeared at the age of 13 in 1986. Alice has found strength in lighting a candle for Philip each day as many now find strength in coming together to light a candle at a time when we have to stay apart and be missing in each other’s lives.
