The first Sunday in Advent starts on Nov 30th and is a time to take stock and prepare for Christmas. Fr. Eugene McCaffrey is a Carmelite priest and writer who teaches Christian meditation. He regularly gives retreats, and will be inviting people to join him in contemplation during Advent. Having lost his own brother earlier this month, Fr. Eugene says, “Advent is particularly poignant for me this year.”
Miriam Gormally asked Fr. Eugene whether Advent was something that played a part in the modern world or whether Advent is made meaningless by the busy world we live in?
