Communicating the Christian message is what the Church is about.  Martin Long is Director of Communications in the Catholic Communications Office in Maynooth, Co. Kildare. He was recently involved in hosting the annual conference for Catholic press officers from all over Europe, held for the first time ever in Maynooth.  Miriam Gormally met with Martin and she put it to him that when it came to communicating with the Media, the Church had gained a reputation for hiding behind closed doors and refusing to comment.
