The Winter Solstice was a time in the past when at the darkest time of the year people celebrated the coming of new light. Dolores Whelan is an author, educator and spiritual guide who believes that we today can learn to enrich and enhance our lives from following these rituals. Miriam Gormally asked her to explain what the Winter Solstice would have meant to people in the past.
