Choosing music for sacramental occasions can be very difficult. Particularly for funerals. Michael Joncas is a priest, liturgical theologian, and composer of contemporary Catholic music. He spoke with Piaras Jackson about what is involved and about his own work as a composer and how he manages create music that is moving, relevant and suitable for the occasion.
