At Soul Waves recent AGM, we were delighted to have Denis Bradley talk on the theme of Communication in the Church: do we need a new language or a new message? A former priest and then later vice-chairman of the police board for the Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI), Denis was appointed co-chairman, with Robin Eames, of the Consultative Group on the Past in Northern Ireland in 2007.  He talks here about some of the changes that have taken place in the Church and how he feels it signals a crisis in faith which he believes mirrors his own. He also looks in particular at the Irish people’s rejection of the Church’s teachings in the recent same sex marriage referendum and asks what this means for the Church’s message.
