What’s the first thing you would do if you were betrayed by your closest friends, asks Paddy Greene SJ to his trainees. Well if your Jesus, he says, you put your arms around them.

Here he looks at how Jesus must have felt when his teachings of universal love where being challenged by Church officials. How it must have caused him to question what he was doing, but then how his vision on Mount Tabor convinced him that he really was preaching God’s word of love.

As Holy Week continues, his agonising increases as he is striped of everything, but now thanks to vision on Mount Tabor, says Paddy, he has the courage to face it.
