Deacon John Taafe is a Permanent Married Deacon in the Archdiocese of Armagh.
He works by counselling addicts for the HSE but also on a voluntary basis for the Archdiocese.
Here John shares some of his own journey with Conor Deane explaining that he feels his route to counselling was down his own father’s alcohol addiction which pushed John away from him at a very early age. The two never spoke again until John through his own journey of healing and faith was able to find it in his heart to reach out and forgive his father. This led to his father seeking reconciliation with the Lord and healing.
