With the choice of an non-European Pope, we are reminded that Christianity is a global religion. In fact, Prof. Kirsteen Kim, who researches and teaches theology from the perspective of mission and world, points out that the majority of Christians live outside of Europe and that Christ himself was Asian. Drawing on her experience of Christianity in South Korea, India and the USA she has written several books on global Christianity and she is a consultant to the World Council of Churches and Churches Together in Britain and Ireland. Pat Coyle asks her about Edinburgh 1910, what she calls the Vatican II of Protestant Churches.
