Richard Leonard, an Australian Jesuit and best selling author has recently written a booked title, “Hatch, Match and Dispatch” looking at the history of Catholic sacraments. Approaching them in an accessible and engaging way, he examines the liturgy, ritual and theology behind them. He uses anecdotes from his own life to make the book come to life and help people approach the subject in a way that is lively and engaging. Here he speaks with Pat Coyle, explaining the importance of keeping theological teachings accessible as well as how he learned about the true meaning of the sacraments in surprising ways.
