Last week, we looked at the response of We are Church to the recent Synod on the family. They were largely disappointed by the Synod feeling that it continued to exclude groups whom they felt should no longer be marginalised. This week we hear from Cathal Barry, journalist with the Irish Catholic who was over in Rome covering the Synod. He said that there was a lot of reason to be hopefully and that the Synod was just the beginning of a larger conversation and that huge steps were achieved in terms of Pastoral understanding of the issues. Miriam Gormally began by asking him if he had felt disappointed by the Synod in any way.
