Receiving hospice care in Africa was traditionally only for a privileged few. This was something that Dr Anne Merriman set about to change. Inspired by her own mother’s experience with hospice care, she has been leading the Hospice Movement in Africa. Her mission is to have culturally sensitive, low cost, quality care for all as she explained to Eileen Good.
