The Vision of Inclusion Ireland is that of people with an intellectual disability living and participating in the community with equal rights as citizens, to live the life of their choice to their fullest potential. Deirdre Carroll speaks to Miriam Gormally about the right of children with disabilities to have a place in mainstream schools and how this is very achievable with the correct support and training for teachers. She also talks about employment opportunities and the necessity to break down barriers and equip people with the right skills.
