In many cultures religious beliefs can create divisive opinion which drive people apart. In previous times it was issues around money or the differing teachings around communion and sainthood that drove communities apart. In todays world the divisive issues are largely around sexual morality. Miriam Gormally met Donal Casey, an atheist turned Christian, who has been profoundly influenced by the teaching and writings of Scott Sauls, author of Jesus outside the Lines: A way forward for those who are tired of taking sides. Donal talks here about how issues don’t always have to divide, but how through listening and respect there can be greater understanding and ultimately greater Christianity.
