Singer, songwriter and composer, Eamon Keane is also a counsellor. He comes from an artistic family — actor father, Eamonn, musician mother, Maura Hassett, journalist brother, Fergal, playwright uncle, John B — and his talents are eclectic. Classically trained as a pianist, his music is wide ranging. He also believes that spirit is very important in music. Here is a piece he composed for Soul Waves Radio on reflection around Easter. Called “The Third Hour” it focuses on Christ’s death, but reminds us that resurrection begins on the cross and that the Easter story is ever relevant in our lives.
