Keeping young people involved in their church can be a difficult task. Trish O’Neill is a parish worker in Clane and explains the efforts they have made to encourage young people to stay involved in their church. She explains the many duties of her role including running a program of youth ministry, ongoing programs for each secondary school year, working with schools for communions and confirmations, youth pilgrimage and music work shops. She discusses the importance of offering young people in the community the chance to feel part of something so that they do not lose interest once they have made their confirmation.
