Our final piece of music for Advent/Christmas from Sister Marie Dunne is “Sing with Joy”. In it she celebrates the coming arrival of the Lord to “set us free”.

Marie has been a composer of liturgical and religious music for over 30 years. She has composed a number of Mass settings, in addition to music for some national and international events. Such compositions include music for her own Congregation, for the Hospitaller Order of Saint John of God, and for a number of other Religious Congregations. Her repertoire also includes music composed for Saint Francis Hospice, Missing Persons Support Service (M.I.S.S.), the National Grandparents’ Association and more. Marie currently works full time in the area of music and faith/prayer ministry, offering  liturgical workshops both here and in the UK, while also leading retreats and reflective sessions. She also provides music therapy for children with special needs, and for adults with dementia. Marie sees her faith and music ministry as a pastoral encounter with those with whom she journeys.
