A piece from the Archive to remember St. Brigid:
February 1st marks the first day of Spring – the garden starts to show the first signs of growth and even some Spring blooms. It is also the Feast of St. Brigid, one of our great Irish Saints. But has she been consigned to folklore – does she have any relevance for us today? Eileen Good phoned Brenda Kindregan of Cairde Bride in Kildare and asked her for her thoughts on the subject.
