Suicide prevention is a high priority in Ireland, where more people die by suicide than in road accidents. Miriam Gormally met Geoff Day from the National Office for Suicide prevention in Ireland at the launch of the website, www.headline.ie, which looks at ways to help people deal with the media coverage of suicide and allows them to voice an opinion and interact and connect with others similarly affected. Geoff began by explaining how their organisation works and why there is such an urgency and necessity for this work in Ireland today.
